Oh my gosh... I went to SDV this past weekend and scrapped ALL WEEKEND!! Yahoooo!! I haven't actually sat down and scrapbooked for so long and I absolutely loved it. I got in my groove early on and did some things that I am really happy with. Quality time with quality women... and scrapbooking... PERFECT!
So since I got in my scrapbook groove... I hope to get into my blog groove, too!!

This layout was mostly scraplifted. I used it to get me going (it's been a while!). I used papers and element stickers from the new BasicGrey line Curio. (being released in October) I also used a few items from the BasicGrey Basics line.

Look at the details on the element stickers above... YES... these are element stickers!!

I always make sure I put Jason in a layout when I go scrappin for the weekend. He really does like looking at my work when I get back and I want to make sure I send some love his way. ;)
This layout uses Websters Pages paper and embellishments, Bo-Bunny ribbon, May Arts ribbon, Prima and of course my favorite tiny type stickers from Cosmo Cricket.

I was a photo rebel in this layout and not only tore my picture, but also put my stickers directly on the photo to make my message stand out.

Aahhh... the title says it all... my little tough girl!! I loved the contrast of the blue and pink in the pictures and the contrast of my girly girl who is also oh so tough. I used My Mind's Eye papers and embellishments, Cosmo Cricket tiny type stickers and for the tiny detail you may not notice... a Tim Holtz charm. Can you find it??

This is one of my FAVORITES!! I really like My Minds Eye and this line is fantastic!! You don't have to do much to it to make the layout look good - but what I really like about this layout is the little details that together make it one of my favorites. I used My Mind's Eye paper, Tim Holtz charm with memo pin, Tim Holtz numerals (love the simplicity of it), Cosmo Cricket tiny type stickers (I am not a planner so the fact that I got my words to fit exactly right in the row is AMAZING!), Prima... and something I REALLY want to tell you about... a new product we will have in stock soon... hand made fabric floral accents we like to call "Garden Inspired Cuttings". I will talk more about these and Rae Missigman, the amazing woman that makes them soon.

Look at how gorgeous that flower looks among the embellishments. It really makes the layout.

I wanted the words on this paper to stand out more, so I traced them with a glaze pen. (again... check out the Garden Inspired Cuttings).

I just loved this picture of Sophie. A perfect picture? No... but it speaks to me. :) I used the vellum paper from Websters Pages, put it right on top of another paper from Websters Pages and stapled it randomly with the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher (of course!!). I loved the layered look of the double banners (one is the paper, one is the vellum) and I loved the look of the floral patterns together as well. You won't be able to see this detail in the picture, but I cut a square out of the paper and vellum and "rolled" the paper to make the opening for the picture. I then put a different background paper in the space and put the photo on top of it in a crooked manner so you could see a bit of the background. You can't go wrong with Websters Pages!! I added lettering and embellishments from Websters Pages, one flower from My Minds Eye... and Garden Inspired Cuttings of course!!

The entirely different colors and patterns of the flowers are perfectly imperfect!!
The "starkness" of the My Minds Eye flower looks fabulous next to the vintage look of the other.

Here is the new line from BasicGrey - Jovial. I used the paper and the element sticker sheet (it's all I had at the time!!). I love this line!!

For the adorable details... I added pom pom ribbon to the snowman... and found the perfect flower (everyone say it with me... Garden Inspired Cuttings) to round it off.

More little details... I added bling to an element sticker. (and again love the look of the vintage flower)

I love to mix black and white (or in this case sepia) photos with color photos. I just think they play off each other so well. I just love this layout. To me, it is as sweet as Sophie and Tayli themselves. I used Webster's Pages paper and embellishments, Tim Holtz timepiece, Maya Road, Prima, Jenni Bowlin, Garden Inspired Cuttings and Cosmo Cricket tiny type stickers.
I did few other fun things that I will show you later.... I promise.
Be happy.
